PERENCANAAN PROTOTYPE POMPA PROPELLER DENGAN MERANCANG POROS DAN BANTALAN
Abstract
A pump is a tool or machine used to move liquids from one place to another through a piping medium by adding energy to the fluid being moved and going on continuously. The propeller pump is one of the tools that serves to drain the fluid from a higher potential by using the rotational motion of the impeller blade and has a flow direction that is parallel to the axis of the axis. Propeller pump is one type of pump that is included in the dynamic pump. This type of pump serves to push the working fluid in a direction parallel to the axis of the impeller shaft.
The research was conducted using the design and construction method of a propeller pump prototype in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, Jayapura University of Science Technology. The results of this design determine the nominal power of the driving motor, the rpm of the driven shaft, the design of the propeller pump tool by calculating the shaft and calculating the bearing.
From the results of the research on the modified design of the propeller pump in fish ponds, the shaft diameter of the propeller pump is 22 mm using a driving engine with a pump power of 4.10 (kW), where the shaft rotation is 7700 (rpm) and nominal bearing life is 6037 hours > 4000 hours of operation. In the results of data collection and calculation, the efficiency of one propeller is 76.565% and two propellers are 89.207%.
