Abstract

The Women's Empowerment Office for Child Protection and Family Planning or DP3AKB Jayapura City is an institution that handles cases of child psychological violence. For this reason, the issues raised are related to how the role of DP3AKB in overcoming cases of child psychological violence in Jayapura City, how the form of handling children victims of psychic violence by DP3AKB Jayapura City, what are the obstacles and obstacles faced by DP3AKB in overcoming cases of psychological violence against children in Jayapura City. This research is studied with a qualitative approach, while the data that has been collected is analyzed with descriptive-analysis methods. The results showed that the role of DP3AKB Jayapura City in overcoming cases of child psychological violence in Jayapura City by providing guidance and recovery of DP3AKB through socialization using media, so that the public knows and recognizes the dangers of violence against children, both physical, psychic, including sexual violence. The role of receiving reporting on child abuse practices, mentoring and healing and legal assistance through counseling psychology. The form of handling children victims of psychological violence by DP3AKB Jayapura City is carried out with three stages of handling, namely the interpretation stage, organizing and application stages both in the form of socialization, health examination, problem classification, mentoring to monitoring / monitoring) and social welfare efforts. The constraints of jayapura city DP3AKB in carrying out its role to overcome cases of psychic violence in children lack of community cooperation and gampong apparatus, lack of openness of information from victims during assistance and budget constraints given by the government to DP3AKB Jayapura City in socialization operations to the community.
