DAMPAK PERGAULAN BEBAS TERHADAP PRESTASI AKADEMIK DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA FESSOSPOL UNIVERSITAS SAINS DAN TEKNOLOGI JAYAPURA

Abstract

Promiscuity behavior is currently very popular among students. Promiscuity behavior is one form of deviant behavior that often occurs in the community because this promiscuity behavior is considered to deviate from the prevailing social norms. Promiscuity behavior often occurs in adolescence where teenagers are busy looking for identity. This phenomenon occurs a lot in the boarding environment around the campus. Coupled with the absence of regulations on the part of the boarding managers, so that students are increasingly free to do what they want. This results in many students whose academic achievement decreases and is hampered. This research uses the concept of promiscuity with indicator factors of family, economy and environment. The method used is quantitative method. Research Location at the Faculty of Literary and Socio-Political Economics (FESSOSPOL) Campus of Jayapura University of Science and Technology.  Quantitative data analysis techniques based on factors on the ground so that analytical techniques can not be separated from the help of frequency tabulation analysis. The results of the analysis that the author can say are obtained in general results that promiscuity among students has a significant effect on the decline in academic achievement in the campus environment of Jayapura University of Science and Technology, especially students at the Faculty of Economics, Literature and Socio-Politics.
