Abstract

The research explains the Chinese national interests in Pakistan through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Pakistan was realized in the development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This project is one of the six economic corridor initiative in China’s foreign policy in the reign of ‘ President Xi Jin Ping. CPEC allocates to four development sectors namely the port and Gwadar city projects, energy, transportation infrastructure, and industrial estates.

The author user the concept of bilateral cooperation and the concept of national interests. This research use an explanatory qualitative data collection techniques through libary research throuhg various sources such as books, journals, articles and websities. From the results of this study, CPEC has submitted a request for a motive of China’s national interests in Pakistan in the political and economic spheres.
