IMPLEMENTASI KONVENSI ILO 138 MENGENAI USIA MINIMUM PEKERJA (STUDI KASUS ANAK PEMINTA SUMBANGAN DI KOTA JAYAPURA)
Abstract
to investigate social activities involving child labour through requests for donations guided by ILO Convention 138 on the minimum age to be allowed to work. This research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data used is sourced from primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection techniques are through interviews with various parties and direct field observations. While secondary data is obtained from documents in related agencies and other relevant documents.
The results of this study show that 1. There are still parties who employ children under the age spread in jayapuar city. 2. The number of children who are donors in Jayapura City who are below the minimum age to work due to the needs of the family and the needs in the foundation, so that children look for sources of income through donors. 3. Lack of legal application in jayapura city government so that there are no witnesses or observers of child labor in Jayapura City. 4. Lack of attention of the family so that children who are not old enough to work without knowing the rights of children. The advice in this study is that parents should carry out their obligations as parents to their students. And the government in the city should have carried out the law in ILO Convention 138 related to the age limit of children to be allowed to work and the right for each of its citizens considering the number of cases of employment in Jayapura City.
