Persepsi Masyarakat tentang Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga terhadap Istri dan Anak di Kabupaten Pegunungan Bintang
Abstract
Domestic Violence (KDRT) is one of the emerging legal issues in Indonesia. The act is a common phenomenon that continues to evolve from the domestic realm towards the public and touches on various aspects of life such as the law, social and economics of the perpetrators and victims found in a household. Violence is often done in conjunction with any form of criminal offense, acts of violence can be done by violent or violent threats or what tools are used, depending on the case arising. The research focuses on knowing the tendency of perception of citizens in the mountainous district of stars, especially those in the Oksibil district, Kalomdol, Serambakon and okbape about domestic violence. Researchers want to uncover deeper about the perception of society of understanding, the types, in this paper limited only domestic violence to both women and children in households. Based on the research results there are 44.8% of respondents understand the sense of violence in households whether it is violence committed by husbands against wives, children and parents of couples. Respondents have an understanding of the issues of the types of domestic violence, which is about 52.9% stating that persecuting family members is an example of domestic violence. Respondents of 50% expressed disagreement with the statement that the cause of domestic violence is a personal problem for each family, but about 62.9% of respondents stated that violence in the home Done by the husband occurs because of a wife's fault. Another thing that is also the result of this study explains that there is a 55.7% opinion of respondents who know about the violence in the household but leave it because of personal problems. Related to public perception about the protection of victims of violence in households there were 68.5% of respondents said that the victims of violence in Rumah Tanggaperlu have protection not only from the family but also from the police or related institutions.
