ANALISIS PERAN DINAS LINGKUNGAN HIDUP DALAM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI KABUPATEN JAYAWIJAYA

Abstract

Waste management is all activities carried out to handle waste from the time it is caused until the final disposal. Based on this, this study aims to determine the role and efforts of the Jayawijaya Regency Environmental Agency in waste management. The type of research is qualitative with 12 informants. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, observations and documentation.

The results showed that the role carried out by the Environmental Agency in waste management is to organize services, carry out supervision and guidance, where in the process of implementation it is still not fully felt by the community and the efforts made are socialization of waste management, carrying out service work and providing waste shelters, which currently exist but have not been optimally carried out in waste management.
